The Fondation Pierre Fabre is one of the three winners
of the 2020 Grands Prix du Rayonnement Français, awarded by Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian. These prizes are designed to reward entities that contribute to France’s positive world standing. The Foundation was recognised for its commitment
to ensuring access to quality healthcare for the most disadvantaged, especially to victims of sexual
and gender-based violence.

GLOBAL SOUTH eHEALTH OBSERVATORY CONFERENCE
Digital tools in times of health crises and the role of eHealth in fighting epidemics: current headlines guided the programme of the annual Global South eHealth Observatory conference held on 15 October at the Foundation’s headquarters. Five promising projects were awarded prizes at this event and will receive one year of technical and financial support.

TO FIGHT SICKLE CELL
DISEASE IN THE DRC
Developed with the support of the Fondation Pierre Fabre, the national strategy to fight sickle cell disease was approved by the DRC Ministry of Health Services Commission, marking the incorporation of treatment for this disease in the system health. The pilot phase will be implemented in three of
the country’s health zones for a period of three years.
