Publication of the book “Nengo, a fight for dignity”

We are pleased to announce the release of the book “Nengo, a fight for dignity” by Editions Privat.

Since 2012, the Central African Republic has been undergoing a serious political and security crisis. As part of our humanitarian work, we are leading an ambitious program to support victims of sexual violence: the NENGO project (“dignity” in Sango).

Based on the model developed by Dr. Mukwege, Nobel Peace Prize winner, this program provides comprehensive medical, psychological, socio-economic and legal care for victims.

The author and photographer, Nick Danziger, went to meet fifteen survivors, to realize their portrait, to listen to their story and their testimony.

This is an advocacy book that goes beyond the Central African Republic and speaks of all victims of sexual violence and their journey towards regaining their dignity.
