[Call for projects] Combating Sickle-cell disease in Sub-Saharan Africa

Open until 30 December 2017, with the objective of improving information, research and patient care.
Having joined the fight against sickle-cell disease 11 years ago, the Foundation Pierre Fabre is currently active in seven Sub-Saharan African countries (Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Congo, Madagascar, Mali, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Senegal) and Haïti through a number of programs designed to improve patient care, early screening, training of healthcare professionals, awareness and education, and the development of clinical research.
In order to further develop its actions in this field, on October 1, 2017, over a three-month period, the Foundation is launching a call for project proposals with a view to improving the information, research, diagnosis and/or medical treatment of sickle-cell disease patients in Sub-Saharan Africa.
This call for project proposals is aimed at healthcare professionals (general practitioners, pediatricians, hematologists and other specialists involved in the care of sickle-cell disease patients) practicing in care facilities in Sub-Saharan African countries with a high prevalence of the disease.
